Wake Education Summit
After eight years of bringing together hundreds of community, business, school, government and parent leaders to discuss relevant issues in public education, the annual Wake Education Summit ended with the 2005 event. The Summit, coordinated by Wake Education Partnership beginning in 1998, helped generate community input and bring focus to various goals of the school system.
Through the years, the summits helped generate a detailed record of community interests and preferences. Overviews of each summit, as well as more detailed newsletters from each event, can be found at this link. A review of the material is an excellent way to better understand the issues that helped shape the Wake County Public School System of today.
