of the Wake Education Summit |

| Wake Education Partnership worked to put the “public”
in “public education” through annual
education summits from 1998 through 2005. At each Summit, citizens and community
leaders had the opportunity to address a variety of education
topics. All of the feedback was shared with key decision-makers
at the Wake County Public School System and the Wake County
Board of Education, and much of the feedback directly
impacted key decisions by these groups. Over the years,
Summits also informed the work of community agencies, businesses
and other groups concerned with maintaining high quality in
