Triangle Leadership Academy

The Triangle Leadership Academy provides teachers, assistant principals, principals and district leaders with intensive leadership training aimed at managing change and setting high academic standards to increase effectiveness in their classroom, school and community. Founded in 1999, the Academy started as the Wake Leadership Academy, a private-public partnership between Wake Education Partnership and the Wake County Public School System.
Triangle Leadership Academy Training and courses offered include:

  • Facilitative Leadership™
  • Four Book Studies
  • Leading School Improvement
  • Building Blocks of Literacy

In addition to these courses, the Academy also offers induction programs for new principals and assistant principals, as well as a customized Master of School Administration program for aspiring principals in cooperation with N.C. State University.

Beginning in January 2006, the Wake Leadership Academy expanded to become the Triangle Leadership Academy, offering leadership and professional development opportunities for Wake, Durham, Johnston, Orange and Chapel Hill-Carrboro school systems.
